Pivotal Metals (ASX:PVT) has conducted a high-resolution electromagnetic survey which has delineated new undrilled conductors within the Lorraine Project in Québec, Canada.
The survey identified a large 400m by 150m untested bedrock conductor, L2, beneath the Shanty Lake copper-nickel occurrences.
At the Lorraine Mine, a highly conductive feature, L1A, is located adjacent to the mine and was validated. A re-optimised follow-up survey is planned to be conducted ahead of drilling.
Pivotal, which has a market capitalisation of $7.25 million, says assessments are ongoing across nine priority exploration areas at Lorraine.
Managing Director Ivan Fairhall says these results confirm the belief in the “significant” untapped potential of the past-producing Lorraine Project.
“The new conductors at Shanty Lake and Lorraine Mine show significant scale potential in a proven mineralised environment,” Fairhall says.
“These compelling drill targets have never been tested and fit our new discovery model. We are also highly encouraged by the extension of the high-grade gold corridor at the Lorraine Mine.”
Pivotal’s geophysical crew remains active in the field, and Fairhall notes the company is excited to share further news from ongoing exploration work.
The company holds a dominant position on the Belleterre-Angliers Greenstone Belt, which forms part of the Archean Superior Province of the Canadian Shield.
