Pivotal uncovers Alotta new electromagnetic conductor

Pivotal Metals (ASX:PVT) has discovered a new electromagnetic conductor at the Alotta deposit following fixed-loop time domain electromagnetic (FLTEM) surveying at Midrim within the Belleterre Project in Québec, Canada.

The conductor furthers the deposit prospectivity by an additional 150m down plunge, remaining open to the east.

The plate is located directly below known mineralisation, which hosts copper, nickel, platinum, and palladium values to a depth of 90m.

Pivotal will follow up the Alotta deposit with further FLTEM surveys at previously untouched areas, also extending to copper-nickel-platinum group element (PGE) occurrences to identify targets for drill testing.

Managing Director Ivan Fairhall describes the Alotta deposit as hosting “some of the most sensational magmatic sulphide mineralisation seen globally”, which has the potential for expansion.

“This new conductor at Alotta potentially unlocks the feeder source of the deposit, because we now know prior drilling was incorrectly orientated,” Fairhall says.

“This adds to our suite of conductors that significantly expand the exploration potential of the entire Midrim Project and supports the systematic application of modern geophysics across our wider Belleterre land package.

“These are high conviction targets for new discovery within a well established mineralised environment.”

Previous drilling returned 24.2m @ 2.3% copper, 1.2% nickel, and 1.9 grams per tonne PGE; 15.7m @ 3.1% copper, 1.6% nickel, and 2.9g/t PGE; as well as bonanza samples up to 0.4m @ 23.8% copper, 0.7m @ 3.7% nickel, and 0.4m @ 20.5g/t PGE.

The company will also conduct FLTEM surveys over remaining electromagnetic anomalies and implement an induced polarisation survey at the Lorraine gold corridor to target copper-gold vein extensions for Q4 2025.

Lorraine East hosts a channel sample of 28m @ 45g/t gold.

Meanwhile, FLTEM surveys at the Lac Long North and Lac Kirwan West prospects confirmed untested conductors to have a similar setting to the Alotta deposit, hosting gabbroic intrusions.
