A director of Canada-focused critical minerals explorer Pivotal Metals (ASX:PVT) has added more shares to his portfolio with a recent on-market purchase.
Independent non-executive director Robert Wrixon acquired a further 500,000 shares for $11,975, or about $0.024 per share, on 4-5 July.
He now owns around 17.7 million shares directly and 2.8 million shares indirectly, valuing his stake at around $451,504 based on Friday’s closing price of $0.022.
Wrixon also holds 1.25 million options, with 500,000 exercisable at $0.05 before 20 September 2025 and 750,000 exercisable at $0.065 before 25 July 2025.
Wrixon is currently a director of mining venture capital group Starboard Global and has 20 years of experience in corporate strategy, commodities marketing, mining mergers and acquisitions, and mineral exploration management.
He previously headed two listed junior resources companies in Australia, and prior to that spent five years in corporate strategy for Anglo-Swiss multinational miner Xstrata, based in Sydney and London.
Pivotal has identified “material resource growth potential” at its Horden Lake deposit in Québec, last week reporting that drilling was showing thicker copper mineralisation at depth.
Three further holes from step out drilling returned 32.1m @ 1.2% copper equivalent from 264.3m, including a higher grade interval of 14.2m @ 1.79% copper equivalent from 275.9m.
Speaking to Mining.com.au following the news, Managing Director Ivan Fairhall provided a break down of the results from the recently completed 2024 diamond drill program at the 100% owned project.
