Perpetual appoints GreenMet for Nevada tungsten strategy

Perpetual Resources (ASX:PEC) has tapped Washington D.C.-based strategic advisory firm GreenMet to advance its Nevada Scheelite Tungsten Project.

GreenMet specialises in advising critical minerals companies on government engagement, strategic policy, funding programs, and financing initiatives across the US.

The engagement aims to position the Nevada Scheelite Project within evolving US Government initiatives designed to strengthen domestic critical minerals supply chains.

Perpetual says GreenMet will help position Nevada Scheelite within relevant US federal and state initiatives, including potential funding, financing, strategic partnership, and supply chain programs.

The firm will also assess applicable funding and financing programs, develop stakeholder mapping and engagement strategies, and support engagement with strategic agencies.

GreenMet is led by Drew Horn, former executive director of the White House National Space Council and former senior official with the US Departments of Energy and Defence.

Perpetual Executive Chairman Julian Babarczy says the appointment represents another milestone in the company’s strategy to maximise the strategic value of the project.

“The US is placing increasing importance on developing secure domestic supplies of critical minerals, and we believe Nevada Scheelite is well positioned to participate in this evolving landscape,” Babarczy says.

“GreenMet brings exceptional government and industry relationships, together with deep critical minerals expertise, which we believe will significantly enhance our ability to engage with key stakeholders as we advance the project.”

Perpetual recently entered into a binding agreement to acquire the historic Nevada Scheelite Tungsten Project, a brownfields asset featuring historical mining, drilling, and processing infrastructure in Mineral County, Nevada.

Perpetual Resources is an explorer and developer focused on critical minerals, with active projects in Brazil.
