Peregrine Gold (ASX:PGD) has acquired four additional exploration licences at the Rocklea Gold Project in Western Australia, expanding the company’s landholding at the project to a total area of 1,250km2.
The acquisition includes licence application E47/4282 from privately held Nearology, which was acquired in December 2025.
Technical Director George Merhi says the company’s landholding overlies the Karra Well fault, which Peregrine will target for systematic reconnaissance surface sampling in the coming quarters.
“The structural and geological similarities to the Paulsens make a compelling case for an intensive gold exploration program over the area which has known occurrences of gold mineralisation,” Merhi says.
The project is located west and south of the Rocklea Dome, with similarities to the Paulsens Gold Mine held by Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST), which produced over 900,000 ounces with an average grade of 7.3 grams per tonne gold, before being placed in care and maintenance in 2017.
Peregrine Gold is a gold and lithium explorer focused on advancing its assets in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
