Peako (ASX:PKO) is compiling results of a detailed mapping campaign to assist with interpretation of the mineralisation and target generation for future exploration programs at the Eastman Project in Western Australia.
This news comes after rock chip assay results returned up to 14% copper, 226 grams per tonne (g/t) silver, and 50.22% lead.
A historical sample result also returned 4.79% copper, 336g/t gold, and 2.99% lead.
CEO Ryan Skeen says these results highlight the potential that remains for precious and base metals, along with platinum group elements.
“Given that the company had been focusing primarily on platinum group elements for the last period of time, samples RS0071024 and P2100184 represent untested copper and gold targets that warrant further work,” Skeen says.
“The company is now focused on assessing the results of the detailed tenement-wide mapping campaign undertaken by Dr Dave Selley.
“This recent work was completed to better understand how the varying mineralisation styles and metal associations observed across the company’s ground holdings relate to distinct geological features mapped in the field.”
Peako is a junior mineral explorer primarily focused on its flagship Eastman Project which lies within a large under-explored intrusive complex that is considered prospective for a major platinum group element resource.
