Peako begins magnetic surveys ahead of Saudi drilling

Peako (ASX:PKO) has commenced high‑resolution magnetic surveys across five key targets at its Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) projects this week ahead of maiden drilling programs planned for October.

The unmanned aerial vehicle surveys cover 54km2 and approximately 1,400 line kilometres across the Sukhaybarat South, Wadi Jarir, and Jabal Jumaymah licence areas.

Most surveys will be conducted at 30m line spacing and 33m altitude to provide high‑resolution magnetic data.

“The magnetics data from key targets across the Sukhaybarat South, Wadi Jarir and Jabal Jarir licence areas will enhance our geological interpretation, structural understanding, and exploration targeting as we prepare to commence drilling in October,” Chairman Gernot Abl says.

The surveys will also acquire high‑resolution imagery and topographic data to assist with developing structural and lithological models and aid drill planning.

At Sukhaybarat South, three survey grids will cover key targets, including the Redhill SE target where historical reverse circulation drilling returned intercepts of 4m @ 11.32 grams per tonne gold (Au) and 5m at 5.60g/t Au on wide 200m‑spaced lines.

A central grid covers the Matar target area, while an eastern grid covers the Karak target area.

At Wadi Jarir, the 19km2 survey grid covers an 8km long by 2km wide corridor, where recent sampling has identified a ‘high‑grade’ multi‑kilometre quartz‑carbonate vein system with grades including 41.5g/t Au.

At Jabal Jumaymah, a 3km2 survey grid covers the priority target area where historical scout drilling intersected 7m @ 10.12g/t Au from 18m.

Peako’s KSA portfolio comprises six projects covering approximately 862km2 in the Central Arabian Gold Region.
