Patriot Resources (ASX:PAT) has expanded its copper-gold footprint laterally and along strike within the Kitumba Project in Zambia, after completing a phase one trenching program.
A potential 200m strike and 20m to 30m wide zone has been defined on the surface from trench mapping observations.
The phase one program, focused at the B1 target, aimed to investigate shallow mineralisation zones. Assay results are expected this quarter as samples are being processed at the lab.
Patriot is making final preparations to start a ground magnetics and induced polarisation survey over the target to map structures and detect subsurface sulphidic zones.
Magnetic surveys are principally used in mapping lithologies and structural zones of deformations which trap and offer pathways for mineral rich fluids. IP surveys are considered crucial in detecting subsurface disseminated copper sulphides.
