Connected Minerals (ASX:CML) is preparing a maiden exploration program at its Pallingup project in the Great Southern Region of Western Australia.
A total magnetic intensity aeromagnetic survey conducted by the company interpreted up to two carbonatites, which indicates the project’s potential to host rare earth elements.
Also prospective for heavy mineral sands, the project holds a granted exploration licence that spans 45km2 of 16 sub-blocks, as well as an application exploration license that totals 15 blocks for 43km2.
The program is scheduled to begin in January 2026 subject to successful land access agreements.
CEO Warrick Clent says the company is looking forward to progressing the Pallingup Project following its cropping season scheduled to conclude late 2025.
“Pallingup is an exciting greenfields project, which our geological team has determined from a proprietary total magnetic intensity aeromagnetic survey dataset, appears to host up to two carbonatites which may have the potential to host rare earth elements,” Clent says.
Meanwhile, a multi element and gold analysis program was conducted at the Civilisation Bore and Mt Genoa Projects in Pilbara, with a total of 160 samples tested from the two prospects.
“Over in the Pilbara, our initial exploration at Civilisation Bore and Mt Genoa Projects unfortunately didn’t deliver the results we had been hoping for. As such, the Board is currently carrying out a complete review of these projects and proposed budgets, with a view to reduce any future spend these assets may incur,” Clent adds.
Connected, which has a market capitalisation of $7.57 million, first began this exploration program in February in hopes of validating historical results, as well as assessing tenements for base metal mineralisation and geological mapping, as reported by Mining.com.au.
The company says it will continue to review its portfolio of assets to ensure funds are delegated appropriately.
Connected Minerals is an exploration company focused on developing its portfolio of uranium projects in Namibia, as well as its multi commodity assets in Western Australia.
Owing to the cropping seasons within the Great Southern Region, exploration programs are typically carried out between January and May. In preparation for the next season to begin in January 2026, Connected is currently engaging with local freehold landowners of the area, with the aim of negotiating land access agreements for Pallingup.
