Pacgold prepares for White Dam’s gold

Pacgold (ASX:PGO) is streamlining a restart of the White Dam Gold Mine in South Australia to target production for Q1 2026.

The company will begin relining the leaching solution ponds, with the circuit expected to be operational upon completion of the first pond. Cyanide irrigation of the pad will begin once that pond is completed.

Ponds are expected to be complete within two months, with an initial capital expenditure anticipated at $600,000 for the plant to be fully operational by the end of November.

Managing Director Matthew Boyes says the company expects to see the first pregnant solutions to be directed to the plant from the lead pad by mid-December, with all reagents required purchased for the restart.

“The mine has an outstanding group of motivated staff onsite excited to see this asset back in full production with the shift from greenfield explorer to producer expected to generate real value for our shareholders in the current gold price environment,” Boyes says.

Pacgold will also expedite minor plant refurbishments, re-crushing and irrigation of the final lift, drilling campaigns to update resource models.

Re-crushing of the final pad will begin in Q1 2026, while the company begins irrigation workstreams shortly following the crushing and stacking of a 100,000 tonne parcel.

Meanwhile, Pacgold will begin infill and expansion drilling this month. The company will conduct 25,000m of reverse circulation drilling at resource areas and near mine targets.

Pacgold is an Australian mineral explorer focused on advancing its projects in northeast Queensland.

The company will be attending this year’s Noosa Mining Investor Conference, held between 12-14 November 2025, at the Peppers Noosa Resort. Mining.com.au is a media partner for this year’s event.
