Further exploration is warranted in 2026 within the Alice River Gold Project in Queensland, after completing a maiden drilling program at the White Lion prospect, Pacgold (ASX:PGO) says.
The company plans carrying out further surface sampling and drilling in Q2 2026 at the White Lion prospect, as well as further drilling at the Jerry Dodds prospect. Structural analysis will also be undertaken to assess zones of potential structural dilation to prioritise drill targeting.
This news comes after a reverse circulation drill program intersected gold mineralisation associated with the Alice River Fault Zone at White Lion and Jerry Dodds.
Managing Director Matthew Boyes says the extension of the Jerry Dodds lode by an additional 1.4km along strike is particularly pleasing and highlights the broader scale of mineralisation emerging across Alice River.
“With these results, we are building a strong foundation for continued discovery at both the Alice River Gold and St George Gold-Antimony projects in Queensland, while concurrently advancing our phase one production restart at the White Dam Project in South Australia,” Boyes says.
Some of the latest results at White Lion include 8m @ 0.6 grams per tonne gold from 44m, including 2m @ 2.1g/t gold from 50m; and 15m @ 0.2g/t gold from 148m.
At Jerry Dodds, some of the results include 4m @ 0.6g/t gold from 5m, including 1m @ 1.6g/t gold from 5m; and 1m @ 1.1g/t gold from 37m.
A total of 118 holes for 12,586m of drilling was completed in late October 2025. The drilling was carried out across the Central and Southern targets, as well as the Shadows, Victoria, Posie, White Lion and Jerry Dodds prospects.
The Alice River Gold Project comprises 30km of gold targets within 377km2 of granted exploration permits and mining leases.
