Pacgold (ASX:PGO) has extended gold mineralisation at its wholly owned Alice River Project in north Queensland on the completion of a planned 13,000m reverse circulation drill program.
Results returned 20m @ 0.5 grams per tonne gold from 96m including 3m @ 1g/t gold from 99m, and 6m @ 1.3g/t gold from 132m, 3m @ 2.7g/t gold from 59m including 1m @ 6g/t gold from 59m from reverse circulation drilling at Southern targets.
Drilling at the Southern target was intended to test extensions of the mineral resource estimate, which was announced in May 2025.
The Central target returned assays including 2m @ 4.2g/t gold from 55m including 1m @ 7.6g/t gold from 54m from reverse circulation drillholes completed in the resource estimate.
Pacgold conducted drilling at a total of 83 drillholes across the Central target, Southern targets, and the Posie prospect.
Managing Director Matthew Boyes says the extension to broad zones of mineralisation at the Shadows, Southern, and Central targets follow up on last year’s encounters in a reverse circulation drilling program.
“The highest priority targets of Victoria and Jerry Dodds are now being drilled before we close out the campaign with our maiden program testing the White Lion geophysical target from the 6-7th of September,” Boyes says.
“White Lion is the most compelling geophysical target I have seen developed to date with a chargeable body measuring up to 1.2km in strike and 500m in width some 50-80m below surface.”
Boyes explains that the company has additionally completed aircore drilling across 432 holes to set further targets to the southeast of Victoria and Jerry Dodds, which will be drilling across Q4 2025 and into early next year.
Pacgold is a mineral explorer focused on developing its Alice River Gold Project, located at the northern end of the Northeast Queensland Mineral Province.
