Opawica Explorations (TSX-V:OPW) has appointed Monty Sutton as the company’s director and Chief Financial Officer.
Sutton brings more than 25 years of experience in public markets, corporate governance, senior administration and accounting. He has served on the management teams and boards for many private and publicly traded companies.
Opawica Explorations is a junior Canadian mineral explorer focused on its portfolio of projects prospective for precious and base metals.
Earlier this year, Opawica began planning a 10,000m drilling program within the Arrowhead Project in Canada. The company intends to secure a drill contractor ahead of starting the second phase of drilling.
The Arrowhead property is surrounded by Agnico Eagle (TSX:AEM) which operates two mines in the Abitibi Gold Belt. Both mines hold more than one million ounces in gold reserves and produced 140,983 ounces of gold in 2023.
