Olympio Metals (ASX:OLY) plans to conduct further drilling following receiving assays for the remainder of the second hole drilled at the Paquin prospect, part of the Bousquet Project in Canada.
The latest batch of assay results include 1.5m @ 54.2 grams per tonne gold from 235.5m, which adds further to the previously reported results.
The new intercept in the lower portion of hole BO-25-28 represents a new mineralised gold zone and is largely untested by existing drilling. It remains open up-dip, down-dip and along strike to the west.
Managing Director Sean Delaney says the latest results gives the company confidence about the potential at Paquin.
“The high-grade western zone at Paquin remains open, and we are planning further drilling with the aim of extending this high-grade mineralisation,” Delaney says.
“Geophysical data and historical drilling suggest that the Paquin structure extends for over a kilometre to the west under shallow glacial cover. We look forward to drill testing this extensive target in the coming months.”
Following receiving the latest results, Olympio is developing and refining additional drill targets. Additional drilling will test the prospective and under-explored new zone.
Geophysical data and historical drilling suggests that the Paquin structure extends for more than 1km to the west, and may expand to incorporate the Amadee prospect.
Olympio Metals is an Australian explorer focused on discovering and developing critical minerals projects in Australia and Canada.
