Olympio adds more holes to Bousquet drilling

Olympio Metals (ASX:OLY) is extending drilling at its Bousquet Project in Québec, Canada, after identifying geological similarities between the Amadee and Paquin prospects.

Drilling at Amdee has begun to the immediate west of Paquin, where visible gold was recently drilled, as previously reported by Mining.com.au

To date, eight holes have been drilled at the Amadee prospect, revealing multiple zones of smoky quartz veining with associated sulphides from surface to 80 metres depth—particularly in the western holes.

A recent inspection of the stripped outcrop at Amadee also revealed smoky quartz veins resembling those observed in gold-bearing drill core at the nearby Paquin prospect. In response, three additional holes have been planned to test the westerly extent of the mineralisation.

Based on these observations, Olympio has elevated Amadee as an exploration priority.

Managing Director Sean Delaney says given what the company has seen to date at Bousquet, the company wants to keep the momentum going and drill numerous targets.

“Historical drill intercepts and surface sampling suggest the Amadee mineralisation extends for more than 200m along strike at surface and we are keen to test if Paquin and Amadee are part of the same structure extending for more than 1km,” Delaney says.

In June 2025, the company began a 10,000m diamond drilling program, with the first phase comprising 10 holes for 2,400m at the Paquin and Decoeur prospects.

Beyond Amadee and Paquin, the company has several drill targets including the Decoeur Extension, where a large induced polarisation anomaly occurs on an under-explored Archaean regional sub-province bounding structure.

The first assays will be available from mid-July 2025.

Olympio has an option to acquire up to 80% of the Bousquet Project, located on the Cadillac-Lake Larder Fault Zone.

The project includes several gold prospects and numerous structural and geophysical targets that remain untested by drilling or modern exploration.

Olympio Metals is an Australian explorer focused on the discovery and development of critical minerals projects in Australia and Canada.
