Odyssey hits ‘high-grade’ gold at Bollard

Odyssey Gold (ASX:ODY) reports ‘high-grade’ gold intersections from reverse circulation drilling at the Bollard deposit within its Tuckanarra Gold Project in Western Australia.

Results from the first assays include 6m @ 9.6 grams per tonne gold from 96m, including 1m @ 40.9g/t gold and 1m @ 12.1g/t gold; 5m @ 14g/t gold from 132m, including 2m @ 32.7g/t gold; and 15m @ 2.5g/t gold from 34m, including 1m @ 11.5g/t gold.

Drilling targeted plunge extensions of mineralisation beneath the historical Bollard pit using geological modelling and ground electromagnetic geophysical surveys.

Executive Director Matt Syme says the results demonstrate the continuity of ‘high-grade’ mineralisation beneath Bollard.

“Odyssey has consistently demonstrated the presence of higher-grade shoots within the broader Tuckanarra system, and these latest intersections support our interpretation that mineralisation continues at depth beyond the areas that have been the focus of historical mining and resource definition drilling,” Syme says.

The Bollard deposit currently hosts an indicated and inferred mineral resource estimate of 0.68Mt @ 2.1g/t gold for 46,000 ounces.

Meanwhile, the broader Tuckanarra project holds total indicated and inferred mineral resources of 5.14Mt @ 2.5g/t gold for 407,000 ounces across multiple deposits.

The drilling forms part of Odyssey’s 15,000m program designed to advance development studies, while evaluating growth opportunities beyond the current resource base.

Syme says the immediate focus remains on advancing the starter pit Scoping Study and progressing resource estimation work.

The company expects additional assays in the coming weeks, with follow-up drilling planned down-plunge of Cable, Bollard, and other high-priority targets across the project area.

Odyssey Gold is a mineral explorer focused on the discovery of gold deposits in the Murchison Goldfields of Western Australia.
