October IPOs fall amid the ASX’s major Glencore listing

Not much has changed for October listings on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), with only one additional company joining the bourse since Mining.com.au last reported.

Jacaranda Natural Resources is set to list under the ticker code ‘JRL’ on 22 October at noon AEDT, raising $10 million through its initial public offering (IPO) with shares issued at $0.20 each.

Following its ASX listing, the company will own 100% of the White Cockatoo Project in Queensland, as well as the Globe, Nkwe, and Motloutse projects in Botswana.

The offer close date is expected to be 2 October, with Gaia Natural Capital and Boston Global as joint lead managers. This IPO is not underwritten.

Europa Metals (JSE:EUZ), Wiluna Mining, and Glencore (LSE:GLEN) are also set to land on the ASX this month, with the latter expected to make a splash.

As Glencore is ranked the world’s largest mining company based on revenue, its addition to the ASX is set to rival some of the ASX mining majors, such as BHP Group (ASX:BHP) and Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO).

Glencore first announced its intention to debut on the ASX in August of this year, set to list on 14 October using the ticker code ‘GLC’.

Other mining companies listing on the ASX in October include Normandy Minerals — which could be considered a long time coming.

Normandy Minerals was initially reported to list on 29 September, though the ASX now lists 5 October as its listing date.

Meanwhile, Super Minerals’ listing date is still yet to be confirmed by the ASX, though the IPO closing date was initially predicted for 8 September.

September listings were notable for gold-focused explorers, though not all of these companies were able to progress their listings entirely or on schedule.
