North Bay unveils Fran’s gold assays

North Bay Resources (OTC:NBRI) reports assays of 0.4 to more than 2.9 ounces per tonne of gold from the Fran Gold Project in British Columbia.

Four samples of 5 pounds were taken from alternating supersacks, as part of a 20 tonne test shipment, and assayed by ALS Global in North Vancouver using fire assay method.

North Bay says the massive sulphide surface zone is between trenches of prior known high-grade gold mineralisation in trench B and C to the west and east, respectively, with grade increasing at depth.

The ore contains gold, copper, and silver mineralisation primarily in the form of chalcopyrite, marcasite, and galena. The massive sulphide ore is grey in colour, blocky when broken with visual mineralisation, veinlets and sheeting.

The Fran Project, covering 34,260 acres, is located 20 miles from the 60,000 tonnes per day Mt Milligan Copper-Gold Mine in Canada.

North Bay Resources is a gold-focused company that owns and operates the 96 tonnes per day Bishop Gold Mill in California and the Fran, Murex, Copper Island and Tulameen projects.
