Scandium Canada (TSX-V:SCD) has employed Québec-based engineering firm Norda Stelo to conduct a Prefeasibility Study (PFS) at the Crater Lake Project, expected to be complete in August 2026.
Norda will integrate the updated resource estimate for Crater Lake into the PFS, not including sections relating to metallurgical processes and recovery.
Scandium Canada will select firms to conduct the metallurgical processes and recovery sections of the PFS.
CEO Guy Bourassa says the company is “very excited about the progress being made” at the Crater Lake Project.
“Thanks to the exercise of warrants since December 1st, we are able to advance the project to another pivotal milestone,” Bourassa says.
“The Crater Lake Project includes the construction of mining infrastructure with a camp, power generation, and an airstrip, as well as the construction of a hydrometallurgy plant in the Schefferville region.
“We are also in advanced discussions regarding the analysis of an access road project from Schefferville to the Crater Lake site, which would not be included in the PFS being contemplated.”
Scandium Canada is working to be a market leader in scandium with a focus on the Crater Lake Project in Québec, the only known primary source of hard-rock scandium in the world.
