Nine Mile Metals (CSE:NINE) has received certified assays for one hole drilled at the Wedge Mine located in New Brunswick, Canada.
Drillhole WD-25-2B returned 15m @ 3.17% copper-equivalent, including 6.84m @ 5.99% copper-equivalent.
Vice President of Exploration Gary Lohman says drilling is continuing to intersect massive copper-bearing mineralisation in the western portion of Wedge.
“Prior to new drilling in May 2026, borehole electromagnetic (BHEM) surveys will be conducted on last fall’s previous holes, to assist in vectoring in on recently defined new volcanic massive sulphide (VMS) zones and associated high-grade copper mineralisation, BHEM surveys in the northwest area and BHEM survey in the high-grade southwest area,” Lohman says.
CEO Patrick Cruickshank adds that the company has seen copper, copper with silver, copper with gold and a traditional CMS lens model.
“Had this hole not terminated due to a fault and water loss, we would have truly seen a special high-grade copper-silver lens,” Cruickshank says.
“Our spring phase three drill program will be exciting, and we will be able to drill from locations that best expose the value this deposit has to offer.”
Nine Mile intends to drill from the other side of the fault and expose the entire lens and its magnitude.
This news comes after Nine Mile received assay results from Wedge, which demonstrated the project’s “economic and high-grade potential”.
Hole DDHWD-25-01 intersected 22.65m of fine-grained pyrite volcanic massive sulphide (VMS), confirming the presence of copper at depth, as well as gold and silver mineralisation. Some of the grades returned include 0.96 grams per tonne gold and 39.52g/t silver, including 1.01g/t gold and 42.50g/t silver and 1.21g/t gold and 50.33g/t silver.
Nine Mile is a Canadian mineral explorer focused on copper, lead, zinc, silver and gold discoveries in the Bathurst Mining Camp.
