New Murchison Gold (ASX:NMG) reports a ‘significant’ increase to the mineral resource estimate (MRE) at its Garden Gully Gold Project in Western Australia.
The updated MRE stands at 4.42 million tonnes at 2.50 grams per tonne gold for 359,000 ounces.
NMG says this update represents a 29% increase over the November 2024 estimate, or 47% total increase when including full, reconciled production mining to 1 April 2026.
The company also notes that combined measured and indicated categories account for 71% of total global ounces and incorporates maiden resources from the Lydia and Abbotts deposits, together with refined modelling from existing production areas.
Crown Prince delivers the largest resource contribution with 228,400 ounces across open pit and underground components.
The open pit component contains 78,000 ounces at 3.40g/t gold, while underground resources total 150,400 ounces at 3.20g/t gold.
The company says the proximity of the satellite assets to the main hub provides significant operational advantages, enabling rapid, low-capital development with zero infrastructure drag.
NMG plans to use the updated MREs to underpin upcoming feasibility studies and operational optimisation.
Meanwhile, it intends to undertake infill and extensional drilling to expand resources to improve classification categories.
