Navarre Minerals (ASX: NML) has announced ‘high-grade’ gold hits from diamond and RC drilling at the Crush Creek Gold Project within its recently-purchased Mt Carlton Operation in North Queensland.
The results come from 111 holes for 16,903m over the Delta and BV7 prospects, along with a series of regional targets. Highlight intercepts include:

The company notes that the drilling was carried out by Evolution Mining prior to purchase of the asset earlier in December, with assay results pending for a further 12 holes at BV7.

Speaking on the results, Navarre Minerals Managing Director Ian Holland said: “The Company is extremely pleased with the tenor and width of the high-grade gold results being returned from the Crush Creek drilling program. We believe Delta and BV7 have the potential to become two standalone satellite open pit mines, just 30 kilometres south of the Mt Carlton mill.”
Navarre believes that data from these drilling results will be used to complete a planned resource estimate update for Crush Creek, due for release in March 2022, along with an updated Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve statement for its other deposits at Mt Carlton including V2, A39, Telstra Hill and Mount Carlton United.
Drilling is currently on hiatus for the north’s wet season, and is expected to recommence in March 2022. Further diamond and RC drilling will be tasked with testing a series of shallow extensional and discovery targets within the Crush Creek tenements.
