Minaurum Silver (TSX-V:MGG) reports ‘high‑grade’ drill results from its 50,000m resource expansion program at the Alamos Silver Project in Sonora, Mexico.
Hole AL26‑230 intersected 26.3m of 369 grams per tonne silver equivalent (AgEq) at the Quintera Vein Zone, including 306g/t silver (Ag), 0.03g/t gold (Au), 0.37% copper (Cu), 0.73% lead (Pb), and 0.61% zinc (Zn).
The intersection sits outside historic mine workings and approximately 75m north of previous ‘high‑grade’ intersections from holes AL26‑180 and AL26‑188, and about 130m up‑dip and 30m north of hole AL26‑215, which returned 5.95m of 1,117g/t AgEq in March.
Hole AL26‑230D also returned 9.35m of 162g/t AgEq, while hole AL26‑223 intersected 2.55m of 185g/t AgEq, cutting the Quintera vein zone about 75m north of the AL26‑215 intersection.
At the Europa Sur extension, hole AL26‑224 cut 3.4m of 589g/t AgEq, including 0.3m @ 1,189g/t AgEq and 1m @ 1,185g/t AgEq.
Hole AL26‑225 intersected multiple ‘high‑grade’ intervals in the Europa hanging wall veins, including 0.4m @ 1,569g/t AgEq, 0.55m @ 901g/t AgEq, 0.5m @ 1,004g/t AgEq, and 0.45m @ 2,069g/t AgEq.
CEO Darrell Rader says the results continue to highlight the potential of the Alamos Silver Project.
“At Quintera, we’re intersecting wide zones of high-grade mineralisation in the footwall of the historic mine workings, strengthening our confidence in future resource growth,” Rader adds.
“Europa Sur continues to return impressive high-grade silver intercepts across the main vein as well as the associated hanging wall structures.”
At the San Jose Vein Zone, hole AL26‑220 intersected 4.75m of 81g/t AgEq, including 0.7m of 102g/t AgEq. Recent drilling at San Jose returned 8.5m @ 111g/t AgEq in hole AL26‑200.
The Alamos Project hosts an inferred resource of 55.2 million ounces (Moz) AgEq, comprising 34.8Moz Ag, 35,600 ounces Au, 114.77 million pounds (Mlb) Pb, and 237.8Mlb Zn.
The Europa Sur results are not included in the Europa vein’s initial 26.5Moz AgEq resource.
Minaurum Silver plans further drilling at Quintera targeting down‑plunge projections, while Europa Sur drilling will target areas below and above the AL26‑225 intercept to further define the vein zone’s potential.
