MetalsGrove Mining (ASX:MGA) has defined a new exploration target through district-scale soil sampling at the Zuénoula permit PR-750, also known as the Fifty-Five Area at the Central West Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire.
The Fifty-Five Area is 1km north of the Central Area and is defined by four gold anomalous soil samples over a strike length of 2.4km.
MetalsGrove completed infill soil sampling across a 10km2 area along the northeast structural trend, with assay results pending.
Managing Director Lijun Yang says that the identification of this second gold target demonstrates the scale and prospectivity of the Zuénoula permit.
“With soil sampling already infilled on a 400m x 400m grid and with all assay results pending, we are rapidly advancing this emergent target while continuing to expand the footprint of gold anomalism at the Central Area,” Yang says.
Infill soil sampling on a 400m x 400m grid has also been completed, with Portable PPB assay results extending the strike length to 3.4km.
The Central Area has been expanded to 20km2 to capture the northeast strike extension.
Infill soil sampling has also been completed on a third area, the South East Corner Area, again on a 400m x 400m grid to investigate structural targets along the margin of a granite intrusion, with assay results pending.
All soil samples are to be delivered to Bureau Veritas laboratory in Abidjan this week for fire assay determination of gold, with the zones defined by these results to be used to plan for the final stage of infill drilling.
MetalsGrove Mining is a gold exploration company, focused on the discovery and advancement of gold deposits in Côte d’Ivoire.
