Marquee maps spodumene-bearing pegmatite swarm

Marquee Resources (ASX:MQR) hopes to soon begin drilling at its West Spargoville Project in Western Australia in light of new lithium sampling results.

The $7 million market capitalisation company says the results, generated from mapping and sampling and the acquisition of geochemical, geophysical, and drilling data, have delineated 10 individual spodumene-bearing pegmatites demonstrating lithium grades up to 3.01%.

Executive Chairman Charles Thomas says the company’s interpretation is that the pegmatites mapped at surface may converge and potentially blow out at depth.

“We are currently proceeding through the drilling approvals process with a view to begin drilling as soon as possible.”

Marquee continues to collaborate with joint venture partner Mineral Resources (ASX:MIN) regarding all facets of the project and ongoing 2024 exploration campaign.

Marquee it has also completed a 3,900 station, detailed ground gravity survey over the priority focus area at West Spargoville. The survey was designed to aid in targeting the mineralised pegmatites at depth as the company believes that the pegmatites may converge and blow-out at depth.

Data processing is now underway with results scheduled to be released once completed.

The West Spargoville project is located in the core of the Southern Yilgarn Lithium Belt, an area that is well known for spodumene deposits that include; the Bald Hill Mine, the Mt Marion Mine, the Buldania Project and Pioneer Dome Project.
