Machinery upgrade to fasten PMT Refinery turnaround times

A new tunnel furnace and dosing machine from Tera Automation has been delivered to PMT Refinery that will fasten turnaround times and enable the company to produce up to 400 ounces of “gold good delivery bars and 5kg silver bars”.

The integrated automated processes and safety features will “enhance productivity”, reduce manual intervention, and ensure compliance with safety standards, “aligning with our commitment to precision, innovation, and sustainability”, PMT Refinery says.

The tunnel furnace and dosing machine will enable faster turnaround times and ensure “high-quality refining services to all our new and existing clients”.

Established in 1997, PMT Refinery is strategically located between Brisbane and the Gold Coast in Queensland and offers a range of services for various industries.

PMT Refinery’s facilities are equipped with machinery that minimise the impact to the environment.

Its refining process uses one step of aqua regia to ensure the international purity standard and maximise recovery without the use of chlorination.

PMT’s electro-refining process for silver meets international purity standards with technology that can achieve 99.95%+ purity from alloys with less than 50% silver in just one step.
