Lodestar Darwin Project

Lodestar’s Ed Turner steps down as CEO

Lodestar Minerals (ASX:LSR) Chief Executive Ed Turner has resigned, effective from 16 May 2025, for personal reasons.

The company expresses its gratitude for Turner’s leadership and commitment, particularly in ensuring the completion of a maiden drilling program at the Darwin Project in Chile.

Turner believes the potential of the Darwin Project remains undiminished, as shown by his ongoing support and willingness to remain available in a consulting capacity following his departure.

Turner has 25 years of experience in the mining industry and is a geologist with experience in exploration management, underground mining, resource development, capital raisings, and commercial acquisition and divestments.

Following this resignation, non-executive Chairman Ross Taylor will be appointed Executive Chairman, while Exploration Manager Coraline Blaud will be appointed Head of Exploration.

Blaud has had technical oversight of the recent drilling program conducted in Chile, which was completed on 22 April.

The program comprised 16 holes for 2,026m of reverse circulation drilling and was extended following the discovery of additional quartz-calcite veins with copper and iron oxide mineralisation at surface.

Lodestar has begun the process to identify and appoint a suitable Technical Director to support the company’s ongoing strategic and operational objectives.

The Darwin Project lies in a region that hosts numerous copper deposits and gold-rich IOCG deposits, such as Carola which contains 10 million tonnes @ 1.8% copper and 0.5 grams per tonne gold, and Atacama Kozan which contains 50 million tonnes @ 1.6% copper and 0.35g/t gold.
