Lodestar Minerals (ASX:LSR) has intersected broad oxide gold mineralisation at the Central Park prospect within its Ned’s Creek Gold Project in Western Australia.
Results include 34m @ 1.81 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 42m in vertical hole LNRC210, including 12m @ 3.03g/t Au from 60m.
The hole lies on the westernmost section drilled at Central Park, where mineralisation remains open to the west.
Other intersections include 24m @ 1.56g/t Au from 39m, including 15m @ 2.25g/t Au, and 20m @ 1.90g/t Au from 28m, including 8m @ 3.77g/t Au.
A further hole returned 32m @ 0.82g/t Au from 16m, including 12m @ 1.63g/t Au.
Lodestar notes that the reported intervals represent apparent downhole thicknesses. The flat-lying oxide and supergene zones are considered close to true thickness in vertical holes, although intervals extending into transitional and fresh rock may be narrower.
The company has completed 12,417m of reverse circulation drilling across 106 holes, exceeding the originally planned 10,000m program. Assays have been received for 90% of the initial 5,345 samples.
Many reported intersections are based on 4m composite samples, with 1m resampling underway.
CEO and Executive Director Coraline Blaud says the Central Park results support the potential to expand the mineralised footprint at Ned’s Creek.
“Importantly, Ned’s Creek continues to demonstrate very strong growth potential in the oxide zone and in fresh rock,” Blaud says.
“This is shown by the identification of new mineralised lodes sub-parallel to those previously recognised, mineralisation extending from the supergene zone into the underlying fresh rock, and mineralisation intersected at or beyond the limits of the exploration target.”
At the Contessa prospect, results include 3m @ 2.73g/t Au from 41m and 12m @ 0.71g/t Au from 56m.
Drilling is testing the company’s conceptual exploration target of 5–7 million tonnes at 1.0–1.7g/t Au for 250,000–300,000 ounces across Central Park, Contessa, and Gidgee Flat.
Geological modelling is underway for a maiden mineral resource estimate expected in late 2026. Lodestar says it has also begun environmental, heritage, metallurgical, and other technical studies to support a mining lease application in early 2027.
Lodestar Minerals is an Australia-based exploration company focused on copper, zinc, lithium, and gold deposits with projects across Western Australia, the US, and Chile.
