Lodestar Minerals (ASX:LSR) has appointed existing Executive Director and Head of Exploration Coraline Blaud as CEO, tasked with leading the company through its next phase of discovery and growth in Australia, Chile, and the US.
Blaud has supported the company through recent exploration momentum, across drilling programs in Chile, returning ‘strong, early results’ from the Virgin Mountain Heavy Rare Earths Project in Arizona, as well as streamlining resource estimation at the Neds Creek Gold Project in Western Australia.
Lodestar says Blaud’s appointment into the new role was implemented at a pivotal time for the company as it runs numerous exploration campaigns.
Chairman Ross Taylor says Blaud has established herself as a “winning discovery focused leader” that has been at the forefront of the company’s exploration efforts.
“This is the right time to elevate Coraline to CEO,” Taylor says.
“From our emerging copper opportunity in Chile to the strong early results at Virgin Mountain in the US to the mid Western Australian Gold project, she has adeptly demonstrated the ability to identify and advance high-quality projects and put the teams in place to deliver.
“We have the projects, we have the momentum, and we now have the leadership in place to fully capitalise on the opportunity ahead. Something I am very much looking forward to.”
The appointment follows Lodestar’s expansion to the exploration team, as reported by Mining.com.au yesterday (26 March).
The company introduced Robin Wilson and Ross Chandler as consultants, as well as Felipe Jiménez as the company’s exploration manager for Chile.
Lodestar Minerals is a gold and base metal explorer focused on developing its portfolio of assets in Australia, Chile, and the US.
