Lodestar Minerals (ASX:LSR) has appointed Jillian Terry to the board of directors in the role of non-executive director, effective immediately.
Terry is a geologist and mining executive with over 40 years of experience in exploration, resource development, mining operations, and corporate governance.
She has previously worked with Newmont (ASX:NEM) and BHP Group (ASX:BHP), as well as Oxiana, which merged with Zinifex to form OZ Minerals before being acquired by BHP in 2023, and Newcrest Mining, which was acquired by Newmont.
Terry has experience with gold, base metals, and critical mineral exploration and development operations, working across all stages of the mining lifecycle from early-stage exploration through to resource definition, feasibility studies, and mine operations.
She previously served as a director for Lundin Group (TSE:LUN) and has provided geological and strategic consulting services to numerous resource companies. Terry is currently consulting for Kingsgate Consolidated (ASX:KCN) as General Manager Technical for the Nueva Esperanza Project.
Lodestar Chairman Ross Taylor says the company is delighted to welcome Terry to the board.
“She brings an exceptional combination of technical, operational, and governance experience developed over a distinguished career in the mining industry,” Taylor says.
“Her expertise in exploration, resource development, and JORC reporting will be invaluable as Lodestar focuses on growing and advancing its mineral resource inventory.
“Jill’s appointment significantly enhances the board’s technical capability and supports our objective of delivering long-term value for shareholders.”
Meanwhile, David McArthur has retired from the board of directors and as the joint company secretary.
McArthur is a founding director of Lodestar and has been engaged with the company’s development since inception.
Taylor says McArthur’s retirement “marks the end of an important chapter in Lodestar’s history”.
“As a founding director, David has been intimately involved in the company since its earliest days and has made an enormous contribution to its growth and success,” Taylor says.
“Throughout his tenure, David has been a trusted adviser, a thoughtful contributor and a strong advocate for shareholders.
“His integrity, professionalism and commitment to the company have been unwavering, and his counsel has been highly valued by directors and management alike.
“His contribution to Lodestar has been significant and enduring, and he leaves with our deepest appreciation, gratitude, and respect. We wish David every success, good health, and happiness for the future.”
Lodestar Minerals is an explorer of critical minerals, gold, and base metals with projects in Chile, Western Australia, and the US.
