Locksley Resources (ASX:LKY) has appointed Pat Burke as non-executive Chairman, while Nathan Lude will transition from Chairman to Head of Strategy, Capital Markets and Commercialisation, as part of the company’s Mine to Market Strategy.
Burke has proven experience in advancing rare earths projects and has corporate governance expertise, ASX-listed leadership experience and a “strong” track record in the resources sector.
He previously held the role as Executive Chairman of Meteoric Resources (ASX:MEI), in which he oversaw the acquisition and advancement of the Caldeira ironic clay rare earth project in Brazil.
Burke says the company’s integrated approach from resource development through to downstream processing and advanced applications is aligned with the current US focus on secure, strategic critical minerals supply chains.
In Lude’s new role he will dedicate his time to coordinating the company’s collaborations, securing commercial licencing opportunities, pilot site identification and deployments, as well as driving establishment and contributions of its US subsidiary and advisory board.
Lude will also oversee strategic partnerships and government engagement, as well as capital markets and investor growth.
Lude says this change allows him to focus on the US initiatives, where the company’s projects and partnerships can strengthen the US critical minerals supply chain.
“With Pat leading the board, drawing on his experience and success in identifying and advancing the Meteoric rare earth element opportunity and his deep industry knowledge on critical minerals, I can dedicate my time to building the business foundations for Locksley’s next phase of investor growth,” he says.
Locksley, which has a market capitalisation of $63.91 million, says this leadership change reflects its focus on advancing its US minerals projects, processing pathways, and downstream critical minerals and technology initiatives.
The Mojave Project, located in California, comprises over 250 claims across two contiguous prospect areas.
