Locksley strengthens board to expedite US mine to market strategy

Locksley Resources (ASX:LKY) has appointed Kerrie Matthews as CEO and Danny George as COO, as the company continues to advance its Desert Antimony Mine (DAM) in the United States.

In a statement released today, the company said the most recent appointments ‘will provide Locksley with the executive leadership, experience, and technical expertise required to deliver a mine-to-market antimony solution in the United States.’

Ms Matthews has more than 20 years of executive experience including leading BHP’s (ASX:BHP) US$3.8 billion South Flank Project and Iluka Resources’ (ASX:ILU) $1.8 billion Eneabba Rare Earths Refinery.

Mr George is a seasoned executive with extensive global experience in feasibility studies and executing contracts in mining and energy.

In addition to the DAM project, Locksley is advancing its downstream processing capability so as to enhance its supply potential in critical minerals to US based customers, notably within the defence sector.

Locksley recently received initial metallurgical testwork results validating that the Mojave Project can deliver the feedstock required to underpin a domestic mine-to-market supply chain.

As Mining.com.au reported, the testwork was conducted on a 23.1kg composite sample, grading 9.6% antimony, collected from the DAM prospect and delivered metallurgical recoveries of between 82.9% and 85.9%.

In all tests, the flotation proved effective in recovery of stibnite from the composite sample and produced a concentrate exceeding 30% antimony in five out of six tests completed.

Locksley Resources is a critical minerals explorer focused on discoveries in the US.
