Australian exploration company Locksley Resources (ASX:LKY) reports it has encountered multiple anomalies following rock sampling exploration activities across various deposits within its Tottenham Project in central New South Wales.
The results, generated by 71 rock samples gathered from various areas within the Tottenham project, have delivered anomalous to ore grade values and have also confirmed the presence of multiple anomalies at the Lacey’s Tank, Jimmy Woodser Mine, Underlay Mine, and Nelsons Mine deposits.
Locksley Resources notes that these anomalies are supported by historic mine workings and geophysics, as well as previous sampling conducted by ASX-listed Australian production company Mincor Resources (ASX:MCR).
The company adds that these results complement the current focus on regional targets which are located within a short distance from the current mineral resource.

Key values returned from these various deposits include 0.7ppm gold (Au), 8ppm silver (Ag), 1.53% copper (Cu), and 2% sulfur (S) from the Bogan River deposit, 0.3% Cu from the Burdenda prospect and up to 1.97% Cu, 1.82ppm Au, and 0.12% zinc (Zn) from the Underlay and Nelson mines.
However, rain events and flooding within the central New South Wales area resulted in sampling activities being hampered between the September and December quarters.
Locksley Resources is an ASX-listed Australian company that was incorporated in October 2018 for the purpose of identifying and assessing resource opportunities within Australia. The company is currently focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral resources and projects that have the potential to deliver ‘significant’ growth for shareholders.
Locksley Resources’ Tottenham project is located in central New South Wales’ highly prospective Lachlan Fold Belt Cobar-Girilambone district and includes a 30km strike length of Volcanic Hosted Massive Sulphide (VHMS) copper corridor. The deposits hosted within the project tenement are reported to be situated within an under-explored and prospective land package of 470km-square across 4 exploration licences.
These deposits are hosted within the Ordovician Girilambone Group, which is also host to the Tritton and Girilambone Mines, as well as the Constellation deposit, which are owned by mid-tier base and precious metals producer Aeris Resources (ASX:AIS).
Following this discovery, Locksley Resources announces that the recent sampling program, combined with modelling of electromagnetic (EM) anomalies and historic mines, represent ‘excellent’ drill targets.
