Australian exploration company Locksley Resources (ASX:LKY) has started a 10-hole reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Tottenham Project in central New South Wales.
The initial drill program is intended to drill for about 2,000m at the Laceys Tank Prospect, Jimmy Woodser Mine, Chris Watson Deposit, Orange Plains Mine, and Bogan River Mine.
Locksley reports that holes are intending to test multiple targets at the Jimmy Woodser Mine, including shallow mineralisation about historic workings, as well as testing a ‘significant’ electromagnetic (EM) anomaly that lies down plunge to the northeast of the old workings.
It will also test a 2022 HeliTEM anomaly footwall to the old workings.
Additionally, the drilling program will also test a strong HeliTEM response from the 2022 survey, located 500m to the south of Jimmy Woodser in an area of no outcrop.
At Orange Plains, drilling will test below a shallow intercept of 4.0m @ 0.32% copper (Cu), 0.20g/t Au, and 3.16% zinc (Zn) from 38m in the 2021-hole TORC026, located in an EM anomalism area.
The Chris Watson drilling will test the east end of a ‘major’ historic EM anomaly that may represent an additional ore shoot to the Mount Royal-Orange Plains resource. In addition, drilling is also intended to test a down-plunge continuation of the existing Mount Royal-Orange Plains resource.
At Bogan River drilling is intended to provide resource infill data in the vicinity of hole TPRC043 which returned 23m @ 3.39% Cu from 3m. This will provide confirmation of historic data and potential oxide metallurgy test material.
Furthermore, at Laceys Tank, the holes will test HeliTEM anomalies from the 2022 survey and below prospecting pits along a mineralised fault zone.
The Tottenham Project is an advanced copper-gold exploration project consisting of 4 exploration licences, EL6592, EL6656, EL8384, and EL9307. This area covers 470km-square located in the Lachlan Fold Belt of central New South Wales.
Locksley Resources is an Australian exploration company established in October 2018 for the purpose of identifying and assessing resource opportunities within Australia.
