Locksley expands US market presence

Locksley Resources (ASX:LKY) has completed its listing on the OTCQB Venture Market in the US, under the ticker symbol LKYRF, as part of its offering to US-based investors enabling its shares to be traded in US dollars during US market hours.

As a result of the listing, Locksley — which has a market capitalisation of $10.63 million — says it has broadened its exposure to North American investors and provided enhanced access to a deeper pool of capital.

The listing is part of the company’s broader strategy to advance its critical minerals focus within a US jurisdiction which is increasingly prioritising domestic rare earth and antimony supply chains.

Since April 2025, hundreds of export licence applications have been submitted to Chinese authorities, which has impacted US, European, and Japanese companies, particularly auto manufacturers.

Auto manufacturers rely on rare earths for manufacturing internal combustion engines and electric vehicles, as reported by the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

The restricted minerals, such as rare earths and antimony, are essential to a wide range of automotive components including automatic transmissions, alternators, electric motors, sensors, seat belts, and lighting systems.

The global rare earths and antimony supply chain is heavily reliant on China. China accounts for roughly 48% of the global antimony production.

Locksley Chairman Nathan Lude says the listing on the OTCQB represents a step forward in the US engagement strategy.

“With our Mojave Project located in California and aligned with US critical minerals priorities, this listing allows us to broaden our investor base and improve visibility in a market where our assets hold strategic relevance,” Lude says.

The Mojave Project, covering 20.9km2, has potential to host numerous rare earths deposits — which are indispensable for the functioning of modern society, powering technological innovations and enabling advancements in renewable energy, electronics, and defence systems.
