Lithium Universe (ASX:LU7) has ‘significant’ lithium and rare earths opportunities in tier-one mining jurisdictions in Canada and Australia.
The $35.58 million company says its Canada-based projects include the Apollo, Adina South, Adina West, and Margot Lake projects, which are prospective for lithium.
Apollo’s exploration focus comprises systematic mapping, geochemical soil sampling, and geophysical surveys of the 17 pegmatite outcrops on the tenement package.
Concurrently, an airborne geophysical and remote survey will be undertaken to concentrate field works and provide high-priority drill targets for a maiden drilling campaign.
At the Margot Lake, Adina South, and Adina West projects, Lithium Universe intends to conduct an exploration program focused on preliminary field mapping and geochemical soil sampling, targeting pegmatitic granite occurrences to support the drill program in planning.
Meanwhile, Lithium Universe’s Australian assets include the Lefroy Lithium and the Voyager Rare Earth projects.
The company plans to identify drill targets through a systematic exploration program at the Lefroy Lithium Project. At the Voyager Project, Lithium Universe says the regional work done to date suggests an ‘exciting’ potential for further discoveries of rare earths in ionic clays.
Lithium Universe notes that all exploration plans on these projects are ready to be executed.
Lithium Universe is focused on obtaining a resource and constructing a spodumene-producing mine in Quebec, Canada. The company’s portfolio of assets is located in Canada and Australia.
