Lincoln unveils Minbrie’s high-priority targets

Lincoln Minerals (ASX:LML) has defined multiple high-priority drill targets at its Minbrie Copper-Base Metals Project in South Australia, after conducting 3D modelling and a data review. 

Over 1,700m of historical core was re-logged and 344 new assays were submitted to refine targeting. The company says re-logging and assaying of the historical core has de-risked drill targets and confirmed “high-grade” mineralisation. 

The targets, located in the Northern Zone, were selected based on favourable structure, sulphide mineralogy, geochemical signature, and proximity to known mineralisation. 

Lincoln, which has a market capitalisation of $14.71 million, is progressing drilling approvals, which are expected to be finalised within the next two months. 

The planned drill program, expected to begin around H2 2025, will initially target Trap Zones 1 and 2. 

CEO Jonathon Trewartha says planning is well advanced to drill test these targets, where historical drilling, new core logging, and assays confirmed multiple zones of interest. 

“The identification of a multi-phase sulphide system, supported by 3D geological modelling provides a strong framework to target both oxide and sulphide zones,” Trewartha says. 

“With approvals expected shortly, Minbrie is well-positioned to demonstrate its potential as a significant copper and base metals discovery in the Gawler Craton.”

The company says this marks a key step in its strategy to unlock “significant” copper and base metals potential within the under-explored footwall sequence of the Bungalow Magnetite deposit. 

Throughout 2025, Lincoln has conducted a technical reassessment of Minbrie, combining modern analytical tools with a comprehensive dataset. The company notes this work has been critical in de-risking the next phase of drilling and advances its geological understanding of the Minbrie system.

The Minbrie Copper and Base Metals Project, located in the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia, has a mineralised system extending over a 7km strike length with multiple sulphide-rich zones. 

Lincoln Minerals is an Australian explorer and developer focused on advancing its critical minerals projects in South Australia’s Gawler Craton. 

The Gawler Craton is an extensive region underlying 440,000km2 of central South Australia. The region is known for its iron oxide copper-gold deposits, including Olympic Dam, Prominent Hill, and Carrapateena.
