Larvotto Resources (ASX:LRV) has reported new results from its ongoing diamond drilling program at the Freehold prospect at the company’s wholly owned Hillgrove Antimony-Gold Project in New South Wales.
The drilling is targeting extensions of historically mined mineralisation, with Larvotto noting confirmation of broad, ‘high-grade’ gold-antimony-tungsten mineralisation across multiple loads.
Key results from this program include 8.3m @ 7.50 grams per tonne gold equivalent from 59m; 8m @ 5.54g/t gold equivalent from 327m, including 1.8m @ 21.34g/t gold equivalent from 327.5m; and 4.45m @ 7.34g/t gold equivalent from 361.55m, including 1.45m @ 21.30g/t gold equivalent from 361.55m.
Tungsten results associated with gold-antimony mineralisation include 0.5m @ 0.91% tungsten trioxide from 241.2m, 0.5m @ 0.75% tungsten trioxide from 245.2m, and 0.4m @ 0.98% tungsten trioxide from 353.5m.
Managing Director Ron Heeks says that the drilling at Freehold “continues to deliver strong and consistent results, reinforcing the upside potential of this historic mining area”.
“Drilling has confirmed continuity of gold and antimony mineralisation within and beyond the known lodes, with high-grade tungsten identified within the same structures, further highlighting the multi-commodity potential of the Hillgrove system,” Heeks says.
“With antimony, gold, and tungsten prices at or near record levels, these results strengthen our confidence in the opportunity to establish a new underground mining centre at Freehold, adjacent to the existing processing plant.
“Freehold is only one of more than a dozen targets at Hillgrove that are currently being explored or will be targeted in the near term. The potential of the extent of the Hillgrove mineral field continues to impress the exploration team as a deeper understanding of it is gained.”
Drilling is ongoing as Larvotto focuses on resource growth at Hillgrove. The company currently has four diamond drill rigs working across the Metz and Freehold areas as well.
Larvotto Resources is advancing its portfolio of projects, including the Hillgrove Gold-Antimony Project in New South Wales, Mt Isa copper, gold, and cobalt project in Queensland, and Eyre in Western Australia.
