LaFleur readies to transition into gold producer

LaFleur Minerals (CSE:LFLR) has filed an independent technical report, supporting the results of a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for the Swanson gold deposit and Beacon Gold Mill in Québec, Canada.

The PEA outlines a ‘robust, low-complexity and cost-effective’ development plan leveraging the fully permitted Beacon mill, showing ‘strong’ economics with a 65% post-tax internal rate of return and C$101 million ($105.68 million) net present value.

LaFleur adds the PEA also outlines an all-in sustaining cost of US$1,569 per ounce by staged expansion to 1,250 tonnes per day and free cashflow generation at US$2,750 per ounce gold base case.

The base case also contemplates mill throughput of 1,250 tonnes per day, with expansion potential ranging between 3,000 to 4,000 tonnes per day in longer term scenarios.

CEO Paul Ténière says the study confirms the company’s vertically integrated strategy, combining Swanson and Beacon.

“With key infrastructure in place and funding secured for mill restart and recommissioning, we believe the company is well-positioned to transition into a gold producer and generate near-term revenue, with additional scalability and operational flexibility that differentiate us from many junior developers,” Ténière says.

Following completion and filing of the PEA, LaFleur plans to advance engineering studies and project optimisation. This will include evaluating an initial 100,000 tonne bulk sample.

LaFleur will also continue metallurgical testing and resource expansion drilling at the Swanson deposit, as well as progress permitting and infrastructure initiatives. These initiatives will support bulk sampling and future mining operations.

The company will advance toward a production decision for the Swanson deposit using the Beacon Gold Mill.

Swanson, covering 19,214 hectares, includes multiple gold-bearing deposits and prospects along a major structural corridor.

LaFleur Minerals is a developer focused on district-scale gold projects in the Abitibi Gold Belt near Val-d’Or, Québec, Canada.
