Kuniko (ASX:KNI) has identified multiple gold and silver drill targets within 1km of the Commonwealth–Silica Hill Gold-Silver Project in New South Wales.
The company worked with Resource Potentials to integrate recent MobileMT results with historical gravity, magnetic, and induced polarisation (IP) data across the wider project area.
The Silica Hill South-East Extension has emerged as a near-resource target, with a gravity-low corridor continuing for more than 500m beyond existing drilling. Known mineralisation at Silica Hill occurs along the margin of the feature, while the south-eastern extension remains largely untested.
Phase one drilling at Silica Hill intersected 3.4m @ 50 grams per tonne gold equivalent (AuEq) from 227.5m, including 0.5m @ 347g/t AuEq.
Subsequent phase two drilling extended the interpreted mineralised system by about 100m between the up-dip and down-dip positions, with Kuniko reporting it remains open.
The review also identified an untested IP chargeability anomaly about 400m north-east of Walls Mine. The feature coincides with a MobileMT conductivity anomaly and sits beside the interpreted gravity-low corridor.
Historical drilling at Walls returned 20m @ 0.5g/t Au and 27g/t silver, while recent rock chip sampling produced results of up to 4.7g/t AuEq.
Managing Director Maja McGuire says the results have expanded Kuniko’s focus beyond the three known deposits at Commonwealth Main Shaft, Commonwealth South, and Silica Hill.
“The review has identified multiple opportunities for both near-resource growth and regional discovery,” McGuire says.
Kuniko says it plans to seek permits for future drilling at the Silica Hill South-East Extension, Walls Mine, and Stringers Mine targets. Fine-fraction soil sampling and targeted geophysical surveys will also be used to refine the targets.
Meanwhile, an updated mineral resource estimate incorporating phase one and phase two drilling is scheduled for December 2026.
Kuniko is earning up to a 70% interest in the project from Impact Minerals (ASX:IPT). The project lies about 100km north of Orange in the Lachlan Fold Belt, along trend from Alkane Resources’ (ASX:ALK) Boda-Kaiser copper-gold deposit.
