Kula Gold granted Wozi for exploration

Kula Gold (ASX:KGD) will commence a field program at the Wozi Niobium Project, after receiving a grant for the tenement from the Mining and Minerals Regulatory Authority in Malawi.

The tenement falls within the Mozambique Orogenic Belt in the Malawi Rift Valley System, comprising a total area of 5.52km2 of igneous and metamorphic rocks.

An upcoming program will include field mapping, as well as rock-chip and soil sampling to confirm the historical trenching results returning niobium and tantalum and expand the targeted area, before the company progresses with its maiden drilling program in December 2025.

Historical results include 0.55% niobium pentoxide and 119 parts per million (ppm) tantalum pentoxide @ 145m, as well as 0.54% niobium pentoxide and 122ppm tantalum pentoxide @ 41m.

Managing Director Ric Dawson says the company looks forward to quickly advancing its new tenement package to discover what critical minerals it can deliver to shareholders.

“Whilst continuing to advance our robust Mt Palmer Gold Project, Kula had identified the Wozi Niobium Project as a very interesting high impact, low-cost niobium opportunity to add to the Company’s portfolio,” Dawson says.

Kula Gold is an Australian explorer focusing on the development of its gold projects in Western Australia and Malawi.
