Killi Resources returns to the ring with drilling at Rocky gold target, Queensland

Killi Resources (ASX:KLI) has recommenced reverse circulation (RC) drilling in search of intrusive-related gold systems at the Rocky Prospect, located within the Ravenswood North Project in Northern Queensland.

The company plans to drill 5 RC drillholes and 3 diamond drill (DD) core tails for about 1,300m, aiming to test intrusive targets which were uncovered from the processing of geophysical data.

Additionally, drillholes from the previous program will be utilised as pre-collars for the diamond drillholes.

Commenting on the planned program, Killi Resources Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Kathryn Cutler says: “The drill program has been designed from the results of the processing of the VTEM geophysics which has identified 2 distinct intrusive targets.

The first holes completed last year demonstrate we are within a gold mineralised system. This program is designed to further test the specific traps for gold mineralisation with the granodiorite.

“The drill program has been designed from the results of the processing of the VTEM geophysics which has identified 2 distinct intrusive targets”

The drill program has commenced, and we look forward to reporting the results in the coming months.”

Following the previous RC program completed at the end of 2022, data shown from the versatile time domain electromagnetic (VTEM) system identified 2 potential intrusive targets to the south and east of the first holes drilled.

In Queensland, IRGs are a common style of gold mineralisation, with 12 IRG deposits in Northern Queensland greater than 1 million ounces. Within 60km of Rocky, there are 7 IRG deposits, which together, host 28 million ounces of gold endowment.

Killi Resources is a gold, copper, and rare earth explorer, focused on underexplored provinces with the potential for a ‘large-scale’ new discovery. The company has 4 wholly owned assets in Australia including the Ravenswood North and Mt Rawdon West projects in Queensland and the West Tanami and Balfour projects in Western Australia.
