Exploration company Killi Resources (ASX:KLI) is nearing the end of its drilling program at the Rocky prospect within the Ravenswood North Project in Queensland, Australia.
Speaking to Mining.com.au yesterday (16 May 2023) at the Resources Rising Stars conference on the Gold Coast, Killi Resources Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kathryn Cutler says: “We’re towards the end of the project; we’ve completed the 6 reverse circulation (RC) holes and are currently completing the 2 diamond tails.
“We’ve completed the 6 reverse circulation (RC) holes and are currently completing the 2 diamond tails”
They’re down to 400m depth, and that is to make sure we really nail these specific targets generated from the geophysical processing, which has given us a really good idea of the sort of context of this whole system.”
According to the CEO, the first 5 drillholes have demonstrated the targets are in a mineralised granodiorite, and Killi is now focused on uncovering the localisation of the gold into a feeder structure.
Discussing the potential of expanding the project, Cutler reports that the company currently has 1 tenement application to extend its current tenement holding to the west, towards AMD Resources’ (ASX:AMD) Far Fanning and Cannindah Resources’ (ASX:CAE) Piccadilly gold mines.
The CEO says the company is ‘positive’ there are ‘attractive’ looking grades on that side of the fence.
The Ravenswood North Project is a ‘large-scale’ project covering 660km-square and is prospective for gold and copper. The project also has a gold endowment of more than 20 million ounces of gold.
Killi Resources is a gold, copper, and rare earth mineral exploration company, focused on its Australian-based projects in Queensland and Western Australia. The company’s key assets are the Ravenswood North and Mt Rawdon West projects in Queensland and the West Tanami and Balfour projects in Western Australia.
