Zeotech (ASX:ZEO) has welcomed Jiangsu Mineral Sources International Trading Company (MSI) Director Formosa Qu to the Toondoon Kaolin Project, located 20km south of Mundubbera in Queensland’s Burnett region.
Mr Qu toured and inspected the project and reviewed logistics and export pathways at the Port of Bundaberg facilities during May 2026. Material handling, storage concepts, and shipping requirements were some of the many considerations.

The visit follows a new kaolin and cosmetic kaolin direct shipping ore product binding offtake agreement between the two companies.
Preparations are underway for both direct shipping ore kaolin operations and export logistics. This includes engaging with relevant infrastructure and port stakeholders.
A series of corporate and technical briefings were also held at Zeotech’s Brisbane Technology Park office and laboratories.
“We were particularly impressed by the facilities at the Port of Bundaberg and the strong support from local stakeholders, which further reinforces our confidence in the high quality of the kaolin along with the practicality and scalability of the export pathway for Zeotech’s products,” Qu says.
MSI now plans to send its commercial team to the project to support loading the first bulk kaolin shipment to China.
“The visit represents an important step in advancing practical implementation planning across product handling, logistics, and shipping interfaces as Zeotech progresses the Toondoon Kaolin Project toward initial direct shipping ore operations — and the commercialisation of what has the potential to become [one of] Australia’s largest kaolin export businesses,” CEO James Marsh says.
Zeotech is developing the Toondoon Kaolin Project in Central Queensland for Kaolin DSO and commercialisation of AusPozz™, a high-performance metakaolin used in low-carbon concrete.
As a manufactured pozzolan, AusPozz™ is approved for use under Australian concrete standards as a supplementary cementitious material.
MSI is an international trading house based in China that is touted to be one of the world’s leading independent bulk raw-material trading companies.
