James Bay Minerals gathers momentum at La Grande East

James Bay Minerals (ASX:JBY) is gaining momentum with fieldwork starting across the La Grande East Project in Québec, Canada, as part of its 2024 summer exploration campaign.

The fieldwork is focusing on 340 high-priority targets that were uncovered via desktop studies using satellite imagery and government geophysical data.

James Bay Minerals, which has a market capitalisation of $6.98 million, says the activities will include field mapping, rock chip sampling, and channel sampling where suitable.

Executive Director Andrew Dornan says with the high-priority targets identified, the company sees “significant” potential for a major lithium discovery.

“We’re excited to advance our exploration efforts across the James Bay region, with the upcoming fieldwork at the La Grande East Project,” Dornan says.

“We also remain mindful of the current market pressures on lithium and we are actively exploring further opportunities to diversify our asset portfolio for long-term stability and growth.”

Fieldwork is running concurrently with ongoing exploration at the Aero Property.

The La Grande East Project sits 15km from the Aqua Property and includes 136 claims covering 7,000 hectares.

James Bay Minerals is a lithium-focused explorer that has a landholding covering 416km2 in Canada.
