James Bay dives into field exploration at Aqua

James Bay Minerals (ASX:JBY) has begun field exploration at its Aqua property in the Eeyou Istchee-James Bay district of Québec, Canada.

Along with ongoing efforts at the Joule property, the company is conducting field mapping, rock chip sampling, and channel sampling across high-priority lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatite targets generated from aerial surveys.

James Bay, which has a market capitalisation of $9.10 million, has also enlisted a helicopter contractor to transport personnel between targets, enabling the exploration team to cover more sites in less time.

Executive Director Andrew Dornan says starting fieldwork reflects the company’s commitment to unlocking new opportunities.

“This growing exploration momentum will position the company to tap into the potential of these promising geological settings, aiming to uncover significant drill-ready targets,” he says.

James Bay notes that high-priority targets are emerging 200m east of FIN Resources (ASX:FIN) spodumene showings, where assays revealed grades up to 6.85% lithium oxide.

The Aqua, Joule, Aero, and La Grande East properties lie in the La Grande sub-province along trend from Patriot Battery Metals’ (ASX:PMT) Corvette deposit.
