Impact Minerals Lake Hope HPA Project in Western Australia

Impact Minerals secures R&D rebate for HPA research

Impact Minerals (ASX:IPT) has received a $310,000 rebate from the Research and Development Tax Incentive scheme for the financial year ending June 2025.

The company says the funds will support continued work on its flagship Lake Hope High Purity Alumina (HPA) Project and its investment in Alluminous.

“The unique mineralogy and patented and proprietary processing techniques for the Lake Hope High Purity Alumina Project have allowed us to claim back a significant proportion of our expenditures on it through the R&D Tax Incentive program,” Managing Director Dr Mike Jones says.

“The funds will be put towards the ongoing pilot plant studies being undertaken with CPC Engineering and Edith Cowan University to produce HPA from the clays at Lake Hope.”

The Lake Hope Project is located 120km northeast of Esperance in Western Australia and covers approximately 1,200km2 of extensive kaolin clay deposits suitable for HPA production.

Impact Minerals is advancing Lake Hope in Western Australia, targeting production of HPA for LED lights, lithium-ion batteries, and sapphire glass applications.
