Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) has restarted drilling at the Orient silver-indium deposit in northern Queensland, to grow the project’s resource.
All of the data generated from the numerous drilling programs planned, will be used by independent mining consultant Mining One to model and estimate the initial resources for the Orient West and East prospects.
A track-mounted reverse circulation drill rig has begun a resource infill program at the Orient West deposit, comprising an initial 28 holes.
Meanwhile, a wheel-mounted reverse circulation drill rig will begin a resource infill program at the Orient East deposit by the end of this month, comprising 26 holes.
In late April, a diamond drill rig is anticipated to arrive on site and will complete four holes, as this news service previously reported.
Managing Director Donald Garner says with the silver price touching US$34 per ounce, the company is starting drilling at Orient.
“What a great time to get our drilling underway and move forward with our exploration at Orient,” Garner says.
“We are hopeful the drilling picks up where we paused at Orient West at the end of 2024, producing results that delivered high-grade mineralisation.”
Iltani Resources is a precious and base metals explorer focused on its portfolio of advanced exploration projects in Queensland and Tasmania.
