HM extends Lewis Pilley’s sulphide lenses

HM Exploration (CSE:HM) has extended two mineralised lenses at its Lewis Pilley’s Project in Newfoundland, Canada, after receiving the remaining assays from Phase One drilling.

The upper lens has now been traced over about 145m of strike, while the lower lens extends for about 40m. Both remain open along strike and downdip.

Hole PI-26-008 returned 18.45m @ 1.14% copper (Cu), 2.42% zinc (Zn), 16.74 grams per tonne silver (Ag), and 0.32g/t gold (Au) from 7.55m in the upper lens.

The intersection included 0.71m @ 2.25% Cu, 2.27% lead (Pb), 27.3% Zn, 102g/t Ag, and 2.42g/t Au, as well as 0.57m @ 8.14% Cu, 3.82% Zn, 38.8g/t Ag, and 0.70g/t Au.

The same hole intersected the lower lens at 163.45m, returning 6.32m @ 0.91% Cu, 2.37% Zn, 29.3g/t Ag, and 1.63g/t Au. This included 0.82m @ 0.72% Cu, 4.29% Pb, 10.9% Zn, 149g/t Ag, and 10.23g/t Au.

Meanwhile, PI-26-010 returned 5.42m @ 1.99% Cu, 1.66% Zn, 15.49g/t Ag, and 0.80g/t Au from 141.81m in the lower lens.

All reported intervals are drilled lengths, with true widths currently unknown. Holes 11 and 12 did not intersect comparable mineralisation but encountered disseminated mineralisation around the projected continuation of the trend.

CEO Nicholas Rodway says both lenses continue to demonstrate continuity and remain open for expansion.

“The fact that we’re getting these grades means there’s a bigger system capable of producing exceptional grade somewhere nearby. Our goal is to follow these clues back to where all that metal originated, which could be the high-grade core of the system,” Rodway says.

HM interprets the more coherent sulphide fragments in the lower lens as evidence that it may lie closer to the original hydrothermal vent system.

Downhole and ground electromagnetic surveys will now refine targets for Phase Two drilling planned this year, according to the company.
