High-Tech uncovers battery metals suite at Werner Lake

High-Tech Metals (ASX:HTM) has uncovered cobalt, copper, and nickel mineralisation at its Werner Lake Cobalt Project in Ontario, Canada, where a maiden 6-hole diamond drilling program has come to a close.

Targets were based on a comprehensive appraisal and evaluation of historical geological and production data covering exploration and production on and around the property.

Drilling was planned and carried out by the in-country geological consultants, Apex Geosciences, and was completed on time and under budget.

High-Tech Metals Executive Director Sonu Cheema says the completion of drilling 798m is not only a pivotal step in exploration efforts at Werner Lake, but also marks a ‘significant’ milestone for High-Tech Metals.

The company reports mineralisation in the first 2 holes of the program include hole WL23-001 2m @ 0.054% Co, 0.5% Cu; and hole WL23-002 with 60m @ 0.011% Co, 0.054% Cu, and 0.24% Ni including 3m @ 0.018% Co, 0.13% Cu, and 0.45% Ni.

High-Tech Metals is focused on the exploration and development of its flagship, wholly owned Werner Lake Project in northwestern Ontario, Canada about 85km north-northwest of Kenora.
